The revised master plan was used to apply for significant funding through Round 2 of the Western Parklands City Liveability Program to start the upgrade. Liveability funding towards Stage One was announced in February 2020.
Please note that once funding is secured, each stage will be subject to further consultation with the affected user groups, to develop the detailed designs and to determine the program of works with the focus on minimising disruptions to the various sports as much as possible.

In order for Wollondilly Shire Council to apply for funds, we must have an agreed-to master plan. A master plan provides a guiding vision for the next 10-15 years.
The master plan for Tahmoor Sporting Complex will consider sports fields and facilities, buildings, recreational areas, and access, among other things. Wollondilly Shire Council has been working with local user groups to understand current and future needs so we can create a place that everyone can enjoy with friends, families and groups.

The master plan will be submitted to Wollondilly Shire Council for approval in August. With Council approval, the master plan will be used to apply for Liveability Program funding to make a start on upgrading Tahmoor Sportsground.

Wollondilly Shire
Council has identified four projects which would be eligible for funding
through the Liveability Program. One of these projects is upgrading the sports
facilities at Tahmoor to a district level sporting complex.
The funding available under the Liveability Program would allow for the initial stages of the master plan to be implemented. Further stages would require additional funding over the 10-15 year period. Having a master plan in place helps facilitate access to other funding sources.
