Tahmoor Sporting Complex is Underway!

Thank you for your suggestions and feedback on the draft master plan for Tahmoor Sporting Complex. Your input was vital to our revisions to the plan. The final plan was approved at the Council meeting on Monday, 19 August, 2019. Updates on the progress of the project are available on Council's website.

The revised master plan was used to apply for significant funding through Round 2 of the Western Parklands City Liveability Program to start the upgrade. Liveability funding towards Stage One was announced in February 2020.

Please note that once funding is secured, each stage will be subject to further consultation with the affected user groups, to develop the detailed designs and to determine the program of works with the focus on minimising disruptions to the various sports as much as possible.

Background

In order for Wollondilly Shire Council to apply for funds, we must have an agreed-to master plan. A master plan provides a guiding vision for the next 10-15 years.

The master plan for Tahmoor Sporting Complex will consider sports fields and facilities, buildings, recreational areas, and access, among other things. Wollondilly Shire Council has been working with local user groups to understand current and future needs so we can create a place that everyone can enjoy with friends, families and groups.

We asked for the community's input on the draft plan, and we appreciate your taking the time to go over the plan and to let us know your thoughts and suggestions.
