    • Picton Sportsground
    • Monds Lane (southern edge)
    • Monds Lane (linear section)
    • Botanic Gardens
    • Hume Oval

Which plan is proposed to be amended?

The proposed amendment is part of Picton Sportsground Master Plan: Item 5.4.4 Landscape Master Plan - Picton Sports Ground (Fairley’s) – page 36 within the adopted document.

What are the main changes being proposed in the Picton Sportsground Master Plan?

With the development of the additional area, there is an opportunity to improve the layout of the Picton Sportsground precinct which would ensure the best use of the community space by:

    • Relocating the netball courts to the eastern side of the site and revising as multi-purpose courts to allow for netball and basketball
    • Relocating the cricket wicket further to the eastern side to ensure better drainage
    • Shifting the future amenities, storage and parking south to allow for the cricket boundary at new location.

What will be delivered with the funding from the Multi-sport Community Facility Fund (Round 2)?

The scope of the funded project includes earthworks, drainage, irrigation and floodlighting to create additional multi-purpose fields at the site. This includes several Oztag fields and other multi-purpose fields.
