Compliance Policy

Wollondilly Council's Compliance Policy seeks to ensure clarity, consistency and fairness around complying with regulations.

In establishing clear guidelines and protocols for Council staff in the management of Council’s regulatory activities, the policy also informs the community and other interested parties about Council’s position on compliance and enforcement matters in the local government area.

Its purpose is to provide structure for consistency and transparency in decision-making, and to facilitate a proportional approach to compliance and enforcement matters.

The policy reflects current best practice in processes to respond to:

  • Emerging community priorities/expectations
  • Changes to legislative requirements
  • Growth pressures.
