Code of Meeting Practice

Adopted July 2022

Council’s Code of Meeting Practice follows the Model Code of Meeting Practice (Meeting Code) prescribed under the Local Government (General) Regulation 2021 which provides a uniform set of meeting rules for councils across the State.

Council must adopt a code of meeting practice that incorporates the mandatory provisions of the Model Code of Meeting Practice no later than 12 months after each ordinary council election.

The draft Code of Meeting Practice was on Public Exhibition from 8 June until 20 July 2022.
