Calling for Expressions of Interest

Wollondilly Shire Council is establishing a panel of independent service providers to review complaints made under its adopted Code of Conduct and Procedures.

We are currently calling for Expressions of Interest for appointment of Conduct Reviewers to our Code of Conduct Panel, for a term of 4 years and contracted on a case-by-case basis.

The role of the Conduct Reviewer will be to assess, investigate and report on alleged breaches of Wollondilly Shire Council’s Code of Conduct, if appointed by the Chief Executive Officer or the Mayor. Reviewers may be required to do preliminary assessments, mediations, sole investigations or participate in three-member Conduct Review Committee investigations.

Successful applicants will be selected and appointed according to their skills, experience and qualifications relevant to the selection criteria. Applicants should have:

  • an understanding of local government
  • knowledge of investigative processes and procedural fairness requirements
  • experience in investigations, law, public administration, public sector ethics or alternative dispute resolution
