FAQ
Will all of the lines cause confusion when playing the sports?
Line colours are selected to contrast from the court surface and depict the different sports. For example, the tennis courts will have white lines while the futsal will have yellow lines. In our experience, having linemarking for two sports on the one court works well. It is when you try to incorporate more than two sports on the one court that it becomes confusing.
How will people set up the tennis net on the tennis/futsal court (particularly young and older people)?
Will the fences behind the futsal goals be damaged by the futsal balls being kicked towards them?
Can we have at least one of the tennis courts with synthetic grass surface?
Both the dedicated tennis court and the tennis/futsal court will be synthetic grass surface.
Will the multipurpose linemarkings affect ball bounce?
Acrylic lines and synthetic grass lines will not affect ball bounce.
How do we change the netball/basketball goal posts?
Council staff will change the goal posts based on the time of the year and the sporting demands (e.g. it may be set at basketball in summer and netball in winter, or just one end may be set at basketball).
Will the courts be open for public use or will we have to hire them?
Will the courts have lighting for night use?
