Road Upgrades - Montpelier Drive

Seeking Your Support for Funding

We know Montpelier Drive is a vital link in the Wollondilly Shire, and that it needs attention.

Wollondilly Shire Council has a chance to apply for federal government grant funding to fast-track road upgrades along six segments of Montpelier Drive for a total of more than 4km.

If the application is successful, the proposed work would result in:

  • Upgrades to Montpelier Drive to provide a wider road with more stabilised shoulders
  • Intersection upgrade at Barkers Lodge Road, including dedicated right and left turn bays
  • Improved line marking throughout the corridor
  • Installation of approximately 1500 reflective road markers
  • Intersection upgrades at key cross roads along the route.

What This Means for You

A smoother, safer drive, especially at night.

How You Can Help

Community input is key and we'd love your help to secure grant funding. Please let us know the difference these improvements would make to you.

  • Take a questionnaire - answer a few quick questions
  • Write a letter of support - email council@wollondilly.nsw.gov.au quoting reference 16519
  • Join us at a drop-in session at The Oaks Public School on Monday, 30 March from 3:45-5:45pm.

We are accepting input until 5:00pm on Wednesday 15 April 2026. For more information please contact our Assets, Transport and Engineering Team on 4677 1100.
