Feedback on a new Draft Planning Proposal submitted by a developer for land at Cross Street and River Road, Tahmoor, is now being reviewed.

Council has received a Draft Planning Proposal to rezone land at Cross Street and River Road, Tahmoor. It would enable subdivision of the land into approximately 281 lots for low density residential development, and conservation of environmentally sensitive land.

Specifically, the proposal would involve rezoning the land from its current zoning of RU4 Primary Production Small Holdings to R2 Low Density Residential, R5 Large Lot Residential and C2 Environmental Conservation, and amending the minimum lot size that applies to the land.

Preliminary Consultation

It is important to note that Council officers have not assessed this proposal, nor has the elected Council considered or formed a view on the proposal. This preliminary notification is to seek community feedback before an assessment is reported to Council.

A Planning Proposal was previously considered for this site and was determined not to proceed by the NSW Government in December 2020. This proposal that is now open for feedback is a new proposal. As submissions made as part of the previous planning proposal will not be considered as part of this process you would need to make a new submission so that your feedback can be considered.
