Fraud & Corruption Control Policy

Adopted September 2021

Wollondilly Council has adopted the Fraud & Corruption Control Policy, at its meeting in September 2021.

This Policy reinforces Council's commitment to maintaining trust and delivering services with integrity through a vigilant fraud and corruption prevention approach.

The existing Fraud and Corruption Control Policy was last updated in February 2018, and incorporates the Fraud and Corruption Control Plan as well. The draft now proposed separates the Policy and the Plan, in order to ensure the Plan can be adapted to suit changing operational circumstances without the need to return to Council each time, unless the change warrants a corresponding change to the Policy.

Both the Plan and Policy have also been modernised and more closely aligned to the NSW Audit Office’s Fraud Control Improvement Kit (February 2015) and while only the Policy will need to be adopted by Council, both documents are intended to be placed on Council’s website for public access.

Submissions closed at 5:00pm on 15 July 2021.
