Draft Third Party Activities on Council Land & Roads Policy

We are inviting feedback on Wollondilly Council’s updated policy about third party activities on Council land and roads.

The updated Third Party Activities on Council Land and Roads Policy seeks to provide a clear and consistent 'one-stop shop' for individuals, groups or organisations who wish to undertake activities on Council land and roads.

The previous version of the policy was adopted in August 2019, consolidating eight former policies and administrative protocols that related to works, activities or events on Council's land. The recently revised draft policy now incorporates two further relevant protocols, which relate to street stalls and filming on Council land, as well as the policy about user groups, volunteers and committees undertaking works on Council properties.

Main Changes

  • Reference to Verge Gardens added
  • Reference to Street Stall applications
  • Reference to Filming applications
  • Reference to undertaking works on Council properties
  • Conversion to the new policy template.

The inclusion of street stalls and filming in the Third Party Activities on Council Land and Roads Policy will make the current Charitable Activities Protocol and Filming Protocol redundant. Pending the outcome of the consultation, the Policy may also supersede the Works on Council Properties by User Groups, Committees & Volunteers Policy.
