Draft Enterprise Risk Management Policy

Wollondilly Shire Council is committed to implementing organisation-wide risk management principles, systems and processes.

Our draft Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) policy reflects this commitment. The Policy outlines our key principles in identifying, assessing, responding to and controlling risks, such as those related to work health and safety, finance, reputation, service and project delivery and other areas.

The Policy forms a key part of our ERM framework. Other components of the framework include:

  • ERM Plan
  • Risk Appetite Statement
  • Additional resources, including Strategic Risk Registers; Operational Risk Registers and Monthly Incident Scorecards

Risk management forms an important part of daily operations in planning for the future.

We welcome your feedback on our ERM policy as we value your input and will carefully consider all comments provided.

Council must ensure its Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Policy meets the requirements of the Local Government Act 1993 and approved Draft Guidelines for Risk Management and Internal Audit for Local Government in NSW (the Guideline).
