Wollondilly Shire Council is developing a new Community Sport and Recreation Needs Strategy.
The Strategy includes consideration of the development and upgrading of existing sports and recreation facilities, and expands upon our existing Open Space, Recreation and Community Facility Strategy. The new Strategy looks at both active and structured sport and recreation, as well as passive recreation activities.
The Strategy responds to our changing community profile and pressures on existing community sport and recreational infrastructure. It includes indoor recreation facilities, sportsgrounds, hard courts (sports courts / multi-sport courts), exercise equipment, playgrounds, skate/scooter/bike parks and nature play areas.
We are working with Tredwell Management on the Strategy development.
Your feedback is being used to help draft the Strategy, which when finalised will be reported to Council for Public Exhibition. Your participation has been valuable to us and we appreciate your time. A snapshot of what we heard has been added here.
