Code of Meeting Practice

Adopted December 2025

The Code of Meeting Practice (Code) provides a uniform set of meeting rules for Council to help ensure more accessible, orderly, effective and efficient meetings.

In August 2025, the NSW Office of the Local Government (OLG) updated the Model Code of Meeting Practice, which is a template to guide local governments (councils) in NSW when drafting their own codes of meeting practice. Accordingly, Wollondilly Shire Council updated our Code of Meeting Practice. Following a period of public exhibition, with no submissions received, the draft Code was adopted at the conclusion of the exhibition period, as per Resolution 218/2025.
