Building Our Resilience - Community Strengths & Resources

A row of hands each holding a puzzle piece

We've All Got Something to Contribute!

Background

Over the years, many towns and villages in Wollondilly Shire have dealt with natural and man-made disaster events such as bush fires, floods, drought, mining emergencies and severe storms. We have a history of disaster impact and a risk of future emergencies.

To help strengthen our resilience, Council is creating community profiles to help identify the capabilities, strengths, risks, resources, challenges and opportunities in each town and village. This will help us prepare for, respond to, and recover from future emergencies.

This is where you can help! We know our community members have a wealth of knowledge and we hope you are willing to share it. We are seeking information about your town or village. Ready to have your say? See below for details.

How to Participate

  • Complete a questionnaire or use our map tool to pinpoint key features.
  • Send us your favourite photograph of your town or village or the landscape nearby – we’ll use a selection of these pictures in our documents and credit you for the photo.
  • Join us at a morning Pop-Up Kiosk or evening Drop-in Session to share your local knowledge.

Consultation closes Friday 5 May 2023
